  • Royal duties: Princess Anne is the Queen's second eldest child and only daughter. As the line of succession favours males, she is only tenth in line to the throne. She regularly carries out visits on behalf of her mother in Britain and abroad, and carries out more official engagements than any other member of the royal family. She is involved in an official capacity with more than 200 charitable organisations.
  • Famous for: Anne was a keen equestrian and won the 1971 European Eventing Championships, a feat which led to her being named BBC Sports Personality of the Year. She also competed in the 1976 Olympics in Montreal. She is also an avid pharologist, which means she enjoys the study of lighthouses.
