Prince Felipe of Spain and Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano

In November 2003 Prince Felipe of Spain announced that he was engaged to former CNN journalist Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano. Although she was divorced Rocasolano was well liked by the Spanish population and the engagement won public approval. The couple married on 22 May 2004 in the Almudena Cathedral in Madrid, with an estimated television audience of over 25 million viewers in Spain alone. The couple's first child, HRH Infanta Leonor de Todos los Santos of Spain, was born on 31 October 2005. The on 29 April 2007 the couple's second child HRH Infanta Sofía de Todos los Santos of Spain was born.
