Critics have criticised the film titled "William & Kate: The Movie" for "wooden acting, cheesy Mills & Boon-style dialogue and embarrassing bed scenes", according to The Sun.

A trailer for the movie, made with a staggering three million pounds and shot in Los Angeles, went online Tuesday and was watched by 35,000 viewers.

One said it was "God awful".

In one scene, Camilla Luddington, who plays Kate, dives into a river to greet William.

Then Prince William, played by Nico Evers-Swindell, sings to her in a karaoke bar.

"Ben Cross appears ridiculous as Charles and Kate's mum seems like Cruella De Vil," it said.
