New Orleans' only all-canine Mardi Gras Krewe went for their annual walkies last Sunday. Celebrating their 20th year, the 400-strong Krewe of Barkus hit the French Quarter all gussied up according to the 2013 theme, 'Tails and Tiaras: Here Comes Honey Bow Wow' (a reference to six-year-old beauty pageant and reality TV star Honey Boo Boo). The name Krewe of Barkus is a pun on New Orleans superkrewe Krewe of Bacchus, who sadly only have humans as members.
Join us as we look at this year's glamorous parade participants, as well as a few highlights from parades past.
