Youâre getting less sleep than you used to
If your healthy diet and rigorous exercise regime have remained untouched by your change in relationship status from single to attached but still you have put on a baffling amount of weight, it could be down to a change in your sleeping pattern. If your other half is a night owl, or likes to watch TV later than you normally would, the knock-on effects can be disastrous. Sleep deprivation makes it harder for your body to carry out basic functions, such as processing calories, and the subsequent disruption to your hormones can lead to food cravings throughout the day. Of course, now you're with someone there could be another reason why you're not getting as much sleep - just try and make sure sex doesn't alter your sleeping pattern too much and aim for eight hours of shut-eye a night.
