Koyal Rana wins Femina Miss India 2014. We take a look at India's beauty queens over the years
Jaipur girl Koyal Rana has won the coveted Femina Miss India 2014 title at the 51st edition of the beauty pageant, defeating 24 other gorgeous finalists from across the country.
The 21-year-old diva will now represent India at the Miss World 2014 beauty pageant this year, hence joining the elite league of beauty queens like Aishwarya Rai, Sushmita Sen and Priyanka Chopra, who brought laurels to the country by winning the international titles.
Koyal says after winning the Femina Miss India 2014 title her next target is Miss World -- but in the meanwhile, if "good Bollywood offers" come her way, she wouldn't mind accepting them either.
"I am feeling on top of the world. I have clarity about what I exactly want to do in life. After being Miss India, now I aspire to be Miss World," Koyal, who was crowned Saturday at the 51st edition of the beauty pageant here, told IANS.
She looks up to Sushmita Sen for inspiration as she feels that the former beauty queen has "achieved so much in her life".
"Sushmit is a perfect example of beauty with brains. Even she won the Miss India title and then she was crowned Miss Universe. Besides that she also does a lot of social work. I totally look up to her," she said.
"My journey has been great so far and I wish to achieve a lot more in life," she added.
"I am focusing on Miss World," Koyal insisted.
Born in Jaipur and raised in Delhi, Koyal says education is as important for her as being Miss India.
"Education is certainly important for me. I also want to focus on my studies. I am pursuing Bachelor of Business from Delhi," she said.
