Bollywood stars Bipasha Basu, Preity Zinta, Evelyn Sharma, Shraddha Kapoor, Genelia D'Souza, Sonali Bendre, Lisa Haydon and Ayushmann Khurrana, besides many others like Poonam Pandey, Shibani Dandekar and Elli Avram added the oomph factor to the ongoing fashion gala on Day 2 in Mumbai.

Designers like Jaya Misra, Malini Ramani, Nandita Mahtani, Riddhi-Siddhi, Sai Suman and Surily Goel showcased their exquisite resort wear collections in a wide range of styles.

For the upcoming holiday season, fashion designer Nandita Mahtani showcased her new cocktail and resort line in a mélange of pastel hues like coral, green, yellow, pink and different shades of white.

The silhouettes varied from structured kaftans, kimono style, tube, colour-blocked and classic cut one-shoulder dresses, incorporated with aesthetic mesh, bead, shibori and sequence embroidery to lend a chic appeal.

"My aim is to translate exquisite Indian embroidery into contemporary cuts, creating garments that are feminine, stylish and wearable," said the designer, who has styled many Bollywood celebrities like Shilpa Shetty, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and Tabu.

Actress Bipasha Basu was present to cheer her designer friend in a short black sequined cocktail dress.

Apart from Mahtani and other designers, Jaya Misra's collection, an ode to the bohemian lifestyle, was worth a mention.

"The inspiration has been taken from the bohemian lifestyle. In today's lifestyle, 'bohemian' symbolizes people who live unconventional and artistic lives. So my collection is a tribute to all those open-minded, carefree and fun-loving people," said Misra, who worked extensively with Bengal weavers for her resort wear line.

The collection encapsulates a mix of kaftans, cover-ups in flares, layers and asymmetrical cuts in fabrics ranging from chiffon to satin. Interesting kimono and raglan sleeves added a twist to the resort wear range.

One of the highpoints of her design was the use of bright colours like ink blue, mint green, fuchsia and mint blue.
