Actress Chitrangada Singh walked the ramp in a red and gold shimmery lehenga for designer Suneet Varma on day 5 of India Bridal Fashion Week.

Suneet’s collection, "The Golden Bracelet", was inspired by the clothing and lifestyle of Pompeii and designed in the themes of romance, longing and wedding.

With roman paintings and sculptures depicted in the backdrop, models glided the ramp like Roman goddesses in sarees draped in toga style. Sheer blouses with impressive embroidery at the back, printed stole with intricate gold work, draped skirts with off-shoulder corsets and maroon tunics worn with appliqué, halter and razor cut embroidered blouses were few highlights of his collection.

The second sub theme ‘Longing’ was all about the ivory and light blue line in long silhouettes with baroque pearls as adornment. Bustier with intricate gold work, silk knits in multi-layered floor-sweeping dresses, tiered skirts in georgettes with corsets, net jackets, and sheer blouses with sarees were the eye catching aspects of this part of the collection.

Lastly, the final sub theme - 'Wedding' derived its inspiration from the poetic life of Pompeii. Floral appliqué sarees, metal crafted corset, anarkalis, lehengas with cutwork and frilled jacket, languid silhouettes in peaches and soft pinks, and tulle shrugs worn with lace corsets were star attractions of the collection.

For the second show, it was actress Esha Gupta who walked the ramp in a stunning bright red and gold lehenga for designer Adarsh Gill.

Gill's collection was truly for a woman who embraces her femininity and loves the fusion of traditional and contemporary in her ensembles.

With the use of extensive romantic floral motifs and geometric patterns, complemented by bold and vibrant colors like emerald green, royal blues, fluorescent oranges, purples and reds, she showcased her version of the Indian Bridal story on the ramp. The fabrics ranged from chiffons, georgettes, lace & lame to taffeta’s and brocades.
