Gaurav Gupta - Day 2
Gaurav Gupta's collection 'Lightfall 2013' was a spectacular fashionable journey on the ramp.
The show opened with a melangé of seductive gowns in lurex, lamé and jersey. The colour story started from moon grey, ecru, dust, gold, Egyptian teal and then finally to pop neon tones.
On a fabric base of organza, lace, jersey, georgette and soft mesh, Gupta combined the beauty and glory of traditional Indian embroidery with Saadi, Pitta, zari, nakshee and 3D surface ornamentation.
Sensations on the ramp were the black sari gown, the turquoise-gold detailed gown, black-gold linear net toga and the turquoise-black lace fish tail gown with sheer sides.
Gold embroidery snaked down from the necklines of the ensembles, while the lehenga-gowns created a glamorous look.
Offering a variety of unconventional silhouettes like Twisted Ripple, Fluid Pyramid, Sand Timer, Expanding Root and Liquid Creeper, the collection left women totally awestruck.
