They couldn't cram more animals into this site if they tried. The protected Sangha Trinational area in the Congo basin incorporates three national parks with a total size of 750,000 hectares, much of which remains untouched by civilisation.

The area is home to the endangered western lowland gorilla, Nile crocodiles, Goliath tigerfish and chimpanzees, along with a spectacular range of flora and other fauna.
