For the first time ever, Raf Simons, who recently took on the role as creative director of Dior fashion house (replacing Galliano) debuts his first collection with the fashion house.

Ever since Galliano's dismissal from Dior, the fashion industry has been abuzz over who will lead the fashion house as the fifth designer since its founder, Christian Dior himself. Will it be as flamboyant and theatrical as Galliano? Or will Dior see the dawn of a new take on modern elegance and femininity?

After months of what seemed like an endless wait, the fashion industry finally witnessed the unveiling of newly appointed creative director, Raf Simons' designs during the Paris 2012 fall/winter collection just yesterday (on Monday). Amongst the great names in the fashion industry that came to show their support were Azzedine Alaia, Alber Elbaz of Lanvin, Olivier Theyskens, Donatella Versace and also the Editor in Chief of American Vogue magazine, Anna Wintour.
