Makeover magic for the hair

Makeover magic for the hair

Hair Stylist, Zen from Kromakay salon in Mumbai is all for the new glam doll look for the festive season. It's all about getting a great cut and style. And we agree with her. The hair style is the first step in creating the right look for the festive. If you have medium length hair, go in for asymmetrical cut. It's chic and makes a statement. Gone are the days when an ethnic wear commanded a toned down Indian hairstyle. And straightening is passé, says Zen. She swears by the curls. "It's sexy and is the WOW look for the seaon." Another style, which is making rounds, is the fringe look.

And if you are looking at experimenting with colors, she recommends sticking to a nice solid color. The rich mahogany and the browns are making waves and women are reaching out to the solid shades over the blondes and the reds!

And if color is not what you had in mind, then Priya Dutt from Matrix Salon, Bangalore recommends the extensions, which are in vogue. She says, "They make such a style statement. If you have a solid color hair, a dash of vibrant extension on your hair adds the desired result." And unlike the colored hair, it does not cause damage to your hair. Extensions are yet to make an appearance over the counter, so the stylists recommend a good salon for the look.

It's all about styling and the way to go about it is reaching out to the right products. It's not enough that you have a great cut and color, but a healthy hair is the key to the glam doll look that you are working your way into. And, this is where your mousse and your serums come into play. Add that extra shine and bounce to your tresses and your first step in the makeover magic is on the roll
