Couture fashion is all about its bespoke nature along with an element of extreme designing. While the clothes may be extreme, the makeupon the Spring Couture 2012 runways was far easier to wear. Here are four lessons we learned to sneak into our spring makeup routines.
Pastel greens: Complement your summer dresses with a swipe of pastel green eyeshadow. The trick here is to skip matte for a sheer, pearly texture. Combined with cream peach blush, it spells spring in all its glory. Our go-to green eyeshadow is the M.A.C Mineralize Eyeshadow in Unsurpassable.
Lash: A strip of natural looking false lashes are a must-have in your makeup bag. We suggest buying them in bulk. They do wonders to subtly enhance the clean makeup look which often requires a high point to keep it from looking too drab.
Line: Liners take over eye-shadows as the most essential eye makeup tools in spring. Take inspiration from the Jean Paul Gaultier show and do the the Amy Winehouse like winged liner. For a softer but equally effective technique, look to the Valentino show and add a hint of liner just along the outer corner. Its quite the quick route to bigger eyes.
Candy Nails: Creamy, glossy naillacquers in candy colours bring out the fun side of you, even if they are the licorice inspired ones.
