Tried & Tested: LUSH Cosmetics A Crash Course In Skin Care

What you get:

Like many LUSH products, this face mask can be bought in varying quantities from the LUSH Cosmetics store. In general 50 grams of the product is good for three uses. It comes packaged in a dark, recyclable container. The product has a very herbal scent to it, apart from the predominant lemon given the ingredients: Sandalwood oil, lavender oil, chamomile oil, lemon juice and lemon grass. Other ingredients include organic avocado, lemon juice, kaolin clay and yogurt.
What they claim: LUSH markets this mask as "the kind of blend your mum would create if she could." The short list of ingredients makes no extra ordinary claims apart from doing your skin some good. It is a simple skin maintenance routine and is recommended for all skin types.
What to expect: A Crash Course In Skin Care is a creamy clay mask. Key ingredient Kaolin clay helps soak up the excess oils in your skin while creamy avocado and yogurt help restore moisture. Unlike many other clay masks, it is extremely easy to apply without any lumps and feels comfortable once on. The mask dries in less than 10 minutes and washes off easily in the shower making it good for a quick pick-me-up before a night out. Skin is left feeling supple and fresh. While it certainly is a mask you can whip up at home, it's this simplicity that we find alluring. To note: The short life span of LUSH Fresh Face Masks means they are best used within three weeks of purchase and they need to be stored in the refrigerator.
